On this episode, we are joined by Devin Hall of Building Buddies.
Devin recently was on Wheel of Fortune! So he's a local celebrity now! Devin was born and raised in Halifax. He has 15 years experience in summer camps, which helps him with his current endeavor.  Building Buddies is a Lego building club that Devin started. 
He left Halifax, but came back, noting that "the best medicine for anything is being back home."
He loves the supportive community that the Halifax are provides. 
His goals for Building Buddies is to expand to adults and families, and introduce a "Sip and Click" program.
Alyssa asks Devin what it's like to be a role model and Devin explains that his biggest lesson he learned about starting a business is that you can't do it yourself. 
Devin's end goal is to have Building Buddies become a franchise.

On this episode, we are joined by the one and only Jim Hinshaw, VP of Service Nation. Jim has over 50 years of experience in the industry. If you've ever attended a Service Nation event, you've met Jim.
Jim went to the University of Missouri, Rolla and accidentally found himself in this industry. His advice is "don't ignore the little random thing in life."
Jim owned a business, sold the business and worked in consulting for other businesses involved in Service Nation.
His advice to business owners is to "have flexibility as a leader, make sure you connect with your people and put your employees in a position to succeed."
His personal goals include growing the sales side of Service Nation and continuing to encourage all those he comes in contact with.
When asked who he would love to sit down and have dinner with, he replied with "Steve Martin."  Jim: Steve, if you're listening to this, let's grab some dinner.

Jacob didn't know what he wanted to do in life, so he turned to the trades. Jacob originally started with plumbing but then liked the high demand of the HVAC industry.
Jacob loves helping people, and it's his number 1 priority to give 150% to the customer, every time.
Jacob attributes his success to the awesome open-minded team at Rogers.
His motto is "don't work for what you make, work for what you want to make."

Megan was a teacher, turned business owner! She's a rockstar mom to 3 kids (8,5 & 2), and with the help of her contractor husband, was able to get Harris and Sons up and running to provide for their family.
Megan put in the time and effort to research trucks, education, licenses and equipment to make this idea her reality. She explains that yes, it is a dirty job, and it's not glamorous, but it IS essential.
Megan talks all about the importance of communication and support as well as her goals for the business. As of right now, her goals are just to expand and grow.

Bruce describes his leadership style as laid back, and his #1 goal is to grow the install team. He would very much like Rogers Heating and Cooling to take over the world.

On this bonus episode, we have exciting news to share with y'all! Effective Feb 6., Rogers Heating and Cooling has closed on their first acquisition. Kevin Pawson joins us from Kerr Lake Heating and Air. 
This news is 6 months in the making, and we are grateful for the relationship we have built with Kevin. Kevin is nervous, excited and confident about signing over Kerr Lake to Rogers. Kevin has completed over 230 skydives and says the feeling is the same as when he's about to jump out of a plane. 
We are so excited to continue serving you. Kevin wants to let his existing customers know that, "Rogers will take care of you as good or better than Kerr Lake would."
